Welcome to Cedar County Library

Cedar County Library two branches: the Geneva Sharp Library/Stockton Branch  in Stockton, MO and the John D. Smith Library/El Dorado Springs Branch in El Dorado Springs, MO.  It has best sellers, local genealogy, fax services, copiers, public access computers, and Wi-Fi.

WORKSHOPS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI EXTENSION: The first one is "How to write a successful business plan."  This will be held Thursday, October 30 from 1-4 at the Geneva Sharp Library/Stockton Branch.  The class is $45 and you must preregister by October 28 at the Extension Office.  The second workshop is "Social Media Marketing."  This will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 7 pm at the Stockon Branch.  Preregistration is  by November 4, and the cost is $10 per person.

BOOK SALE AT  EL DORADO SPRINGS: The annual book sale at the El Dorado Springs Branch will be Saturday, October 18 from 9 am to 1 pm.  Everything that will fit in a bag is $2.00, and everything that will fit in a box is $4.00.  We will supply the boxes and bags.

FISHING POLES AND TACKLE BOXES:  In cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Stockton Branch has fishing poles and tackle boxes to check out like any other library material.

STORYTIME AT EL DORADO SPRINGS: Friday, November 21  at 10 am!

LAST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH PROGRAM: Aunty Nem's puppet show will be  here Wednesday, October 22 at 2:00 pm at the Stockton Branch and at 4:30 pm at El Dorado Springs. 

FREE MOVIES:  Ozark Shorts is a free monthly screening of international award-winning short films. The movie will be shown at 1 pm on Saturday, November 1 at the Stockton Branch and on November 8 at 1 pm at the El Dorado Springs Branch.

GED CLASSES:  The GED or HiSet classes will begin Wednesday, September 3 from 9:30 to 12:30 at the Stockton Branch.
