Welcome to Cedar County Library

Cedar County Library has two branches: the Geneva Sharp Library/Stockton Branch  in Stockton, MO and the John D. Smith Library/El Dorado Springs Branch in El Dorado Springs, MO.  It has best sellers, local genealogy, fax services, copiers, public access computers, and Wi-Fi.

HUGE FOL BOOK SALE: The Stockton Friends of the Library are having their annual Memorial Day Book Sale on Friday, May 24 from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturday, May 25 from 9 am to 1 pm.  When you support the Friends, you support the library.

PROGRAM: Join musician Rick Rayburn as he brings a preview of the Summer Reading Program, Dig into Reading, to Cedar County Library at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 29 at Stockton Branch and at 4:30 pm at the El Dorado Springs Branch.  This program is free and open to the public.

STORYTIME WITH MISS VICKI:  Storytime will be May 30 at 10:30 am at Stockton.

GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT:  We have been awarded a LSTA grant to purchase   a server, a rack, an access point, an uninterruptible power source for the Stockton branch and an uninterruptible power source for the El Dorado Springs Branch.      

 COMPUTER CLASSES: The computer classes at the Stockton Branch will begin again in August from 4-5 pm and will be held every Wednesday at the same time.

GED CLASSES:  The GED classes will end in May and resume in September.

OPEN COMPUTER LAB: The computer lab will be open on Tuesdays, 4-5 pm at El Dorado Springs.  We welcome any computer questions.
